Serious Cosnideration to the Bible

Serious Cosnideration to the Bible

Have you ever given thought as to why God has given us the Bible and has preserved it these many years?  No other book compares in the least to His Word.  Not in power, longevity, or in its uniqueness.  I just thought we might consider, together, a few special characteristics of His Bible.

HOW ITS WRITTEN.... We find around forty different writers covering a period of more than 1500 years in time. Each given their personal style inspired by the Holy Spirit. (2 Peter 2:20,21)  It records the beginning of time, creation, God's love of man, and His plan to save man from sin.  From Genesis through Revelation, Jesus is the centerpiece of that plan.  Designed by the Father, delivered by the Son, and revealed by the Holy Spirit.  No man could ever plan, put into place such a wonderful Book.

REVEALS GOD'S WILL....The Universe bears witness to us the existence of a supreme Being who designed and created it.  We also find in one of the Psalms the revelation of the nature and power of the God of heaven.
Psalm 19:   It reveals:  His identity   His nature   His will for man

IS OUR GUIDE, BOTH NOW AND TO HEAVEN...Over and over history has demonstrated man's inability to guide himself morally and spiritually.  Confusion, chaos, and misery have always followed his attempt to do so.

"I know, O Lord, that a man's way is not in himself; Nor is it in a man who walks to direct his steps." (Jeremiah 10:23)

"There is a way which seems right to a man, But its end is the way of death." (Proverbs 14:12)

God's mind cannot be understood or fathomed except to the extent that He has revealed Himself.

"Oh, the depth of the riches both of the wisdom and knowledge of God! How unsearchable are His judgments and unfathomable His ways! For who has known the mind of the Lord, or who became His counselor: Or who has first given to Him that it might be paid back to Him again: For from Him and through Him and to Him are all things. To Him be the glory forever. Amen." (Romans 11:33-36)

God Himself reveals the completeness and sufficiency of His Word and its importance in being our guide, now and on to eternity.

"All Scripture is inspired by God and profitable for teaching, for reproof, for correction, for training in righteousness; that the man of God may be adequate, equipped for every good work." (2 Timothy 3:16,17)

Where are you in relationship to God and His plan to save you?  Have you obeyed HIs Plan of salvation, the Gospel of Christ.?  If not, why not make that change while time is still here, and eternity is still in the future.  When the Lord returns to earth (and He will ) time will end, chances of making changes will cease.  Each of us needs to give serious consideration to His Book , and His desire to save us. (1 Tmothy 2:3,4)
